  Falads is a forum for open discussion and debate on current development strategies in Latinamerica, with a particular emphasis on transdisciplinary approaches and innovative thinking, based on a diverse audience. D3E and its partner organization CLAES, organized similar forums with other institutions in Uruguay (since 1995), Bolivia (since 2000) and Argentina (since 2003). Falads is a new initiative to bring southern perspectives and priorities to northern academics and institutions. Falads is a series of meetings organized by D3E regional office in Northamerica with the cooperation and sponsorship of other institutions.
